Why do we conduct high and low temperature testing

High and low temperature test is the abbreviation of high temperature test and low temperature test. High - and low - temperature testing is a method used to determine the adaptability of products to storage, transportation, and use under high - or low - temperature climate conditions. The severity of the test depends on the temperature and exposure duration at high or low temperature.
High and low temperature testing is performed to ensure the reliability and safety of AC/DC Power Adapter. During the test, it is necessary to monitor the temperature changers of each electronic component to ensure that they can operate normally under high and low temperature conditions.

How to conduct point temperature testing?
The constantly changing temperature environment will affect the the product’s function, performance, quality and lifespan, and accelerate product aging and shorten the service life of the product. If the AC/dc power adapter is in such a high and low temperature environment with large changes for a long time, it needs to have sufficient ability to resist high and low temperature cycles. Therefore, we need to simulate certain environmental conditions and conduct high and low temperature tests on the product to understand the performance of the product in this regard. If the test results do not meet the standards we set, we will improve the product according to the test results and then retest until it is qualified.
High and low temperature test classification
1.High temperature working test. In high temperatures, the test equipment must work normally. During the high-temperature test, it must not fail.
2.Low-temperature working test. The subject equipment works normally in low temperatures. During low-temp tests, it should not fail.
3.High-temperature storage test. In high heat, the subject equipment was tested while off. Its performance was normal.
4.Low-temperature storage test. In High and low temperature test is the abbreviation of high temperature test and low temperature test. Why do we need to do high and low temperature testing?
1.Ensure the reliable of the product. The dc power adapter may need to opreate in high or low temperature environments. lt is necessary to test and verify whether it can run stably under extreme temeratures to avoid functional failure caused by temperature changes.
2.Safety guarantee.High temperatures may cause components to overheat or eveb burn.Point temperature testing can detect defects in the heat dissipation design and avoid safety hazards such as fire or short circuit.Similarly,point temperature testing can test the stability of electrical connections at low temperatures, avoiding mechanical failures and poor contact that can cause materials  to become brittle and shrink due to low temperatures.
3.Optimization design verification.The test verifies whether the key components meet the temperature specifications and avoids batch problems caused by selection errors.Testing verifies whether critical components meet temperature specifications,thereby preventing batch-related issues caused by component selection errors.By generating temperature distribution maps for each comonent,analyzing thermal coupling effects,,and optimizing the layout design.
4.Meet standards and compliance.Most international standards requires power adapters to pass high and low temperature tests to ensure they meet safety and performace cetifications.Of course,the test report can be used as important basis forcustomer acceptance, proving that the product meets the safety requirements.
